Kokatat SeaO2 Hybrid PFD

The first UL approved, hybrid inflatable life vest designed for paddlesports. Open back design accommodates the taller seat backs found in many kayaks. Unlike any other life vest, the SeaO2 incorporates a “hidden” flotation chamber within the body of the vest. In an emergency, the life vest’s inherent 7.5 lbs. of flotation can be immediately boosted to 22.5 lbs. by releasing the contents of the CO2 cartridge. An oral inflate/deflate tube allows the user to adjust the amount of flotation with just a few breaths, and the flotation chamber can be inflated, deflated and re-armed without removing the life vest. Swimming while the life vest is fully inflated is also easy and comfortable. This is a great vest for travel because it's so compact to pack. While it's against regulations to fly with CO2 cartridges, you can pick them up at your destination, and the vest is so easily inflated by mouth.

Helios Rudder

We recommend the rudder when the Helios is paddled as a double sea-touring kayak when the boat is loaded near its capacity. The rudder helps the kayak track well in a straight line. The rudder is not needed when paddling the double Helios as a single or when paddling in swift moving water. The skill of the paddlers also determines the need for a rudder.

The rudder simply fits over the stern seam of the Helios and attaches in a couple of minutes with stainless steel hardware. The rudder is controlled with foot stirrups from the aft cockpit. The rudder can quickly disassembled and carried flat in the Helios packbag with the boat. The construction is of a machined black UHMW composite with a corrosion resistant aluminum swing-up fin.

The rudder is less needed on the Helios I for tracking as this kayak paddles rather straight without the rudder. Should you want to add a rudder to the Helios I, you will need longer control cords to the foot stirrups as the cockpit in the Helios I is further away from the rudder. Please contact Innova for the longer cords.

How many air chambers are there?
Each boat has multiple air chambers. The Helios has three main air chambers, plus three inflatable decks and two inflatable foot braces. The Junior has two main chambers, plus an inflatable seat. The Sunny, Safari, Traveller, and Vagabond each have three main air chambers, plus auxiliary chambers such as seats and decks.

K100 Inflation Pump

The K-Pump model K100 inflation pump offers approximately 20% faster inflation times than the Bravo 1 foot bellows pump. The K100 is a simple, easily maintained, and durable design. You can also more easily use this pump to add air to boat chambers while paddling out on the water than you can a foot pump, and it does not need a connection hose.

The K100 is a great match for the Seaker kayaks and other 3.7 psi boats. This is a high-performance manual pump, and we recommend using it with the Scoprega Pressure Gauge to insure correct inflation pressures. Comes in its own carry bag.

Scoprega Bravo Super Turbo Electric Pump With Alligator Clips

The Bravo Super Turbo is a reliable 12 volt electric pump which clips directly to your vehicle battery for quick and easy inflation anywhere. Unlike weak electric pumps that use a cigarette lighter plug, the Super Turbo will inflate boat air chambers to the full recommended pressure with an airflow rate of 500 Liters/min., and a maximum pressure of 4.4 psi.

K-Pump Kwik Check Gauge

The Kwik Check Gauge has a unique "pressure release" feature. This gauge works on Innova, Leafield, Halkey-Roberts, Summit, and many other valves. This is not a flow-through gauge. You use it like you would a tire gauge. Inflate the chamber then place the gauge on the valve to get a reading. The Kwik Check Gauge will hold the pressure until you release that pressure and zero out the reading by pressing the release button. This saves you having to strain to read the gauge while it's in the valve. To get another reading you simply insert the gauge into the valve, remove it, read it, and press the "release button."

Aqua-Bound Manta Ray 4-Part Paddles
